Sweet Audree a year ago and now! (Taken with instagram)
Sweet Audree Rose turns 3 this year! In only 3 months! With all of the crazy stuff we have going on until then (showers, weddings, school, work, colorado (YAY!), charleston, etc) I wanted to go ahead and get the theme and all of my ideas together. I’m kind of dedicating this blog to my ideas and links of places I want to use to get her stuff! For those of you who follow my blog and will (hopefully) be able to get to the party (cough cough MANDY) you’ll just have to act surprised when you see it in person!
Okay so her theme is…drumroll, please….
MINNIE MOUSE!

I’m so excited!!! She loves everything Minnie and this year’s theme was a no-brainer for mommy to figure out :)
So as I continued my trusty google searching, I noticed that a lot of people are mixing the Minnie theme with Zebra print. At first I was slightly hesitant because I didn’t know if it’d be “right” but I sought after some trusty advice and decided that it’s a must! Here is the banner we want to have for the party!

I can’t get it to rotate but oh well, it’s still cute! It’s from the website http://themommyshops.com/product.php?productid=17939&cat=253&page=1 and I’ll be ordering it ASAP!!
Another idea I had is one that we haven’t done before, but I found it on pinterest.com and I’m obsessed with it!
HOW CUTE IS THAT!?!?!? I love that it’s got the zebra print in it as well as the polka dots and even the Disney font! I”m in love :) I’m trying to decide if it is a better idea to do it on a black shirt since Audree will be running around and probably have a moon-bounce again this year.
Of course I’m already planning to have the Disney themed moon bounce and Minnie Mouse cupcakes for everyone! I’ll have a little cake that I make for her to blow the candles out.

Looks like I’ve got the party already down :) Now to just wait til April!
**I posted this on my teacher blog (Confessions From a First Year Teacher) and I just loved it so much that I had to put it on here too :)

Audree’s personal email from Santa Claus! I can’t lie, I teared up watching her get so excited each time he said her name. Nothing is better than seeing Christmas through a child’s eyes…the magic has completely taken her over and I LOVE IT!!
I am on a mission to find new blogs to follow. Figures I’d find a blog that isn’t on tumblr or on blogger. Oh well. Following her tweets will have to be enough :)

Check it out! She has great hair tutorials and explains things NORMALLY!!
Santa Claus shot me a little text today saying that he is 100% finished with Audree’s Christmas gifts! This is so exciting! Talk about a big sigh of relief for me :)
I know that she is going to absolutely love this Christmas and I cannot wait to show her the email that Santa sent her letting her know that she is on the Nice List.
As cheesy as it sounds, my sweet girl really is the best there is. She is so sweet and so happy all of the time. She learns things so quickly and then surprises us each day with how much she knows. You definitely have to be careful with what you say around her because she could be repeating it to everyone at school! I watched her run into her classroom today (where she is usually the only girl) and every teacher who saw her walk in had to come and say hi to her. She gave each one a hug, called them by their name, and then reminded them that I am her mommy and that I brought her to school this morning. She literally makes me melt every single day. Some may refer to her as having the “Only Child Syndrome” or being “Spoiled” but I completely disagree. She earns every bit of love and attention she gets from everyone by having the amazing personality that she has. I wish I could take credit for it, but she is her own beautiful little girl that I am proud of each day. I cannot wait to see her light up this year with Christmas morning and all of the love that is shown to her. She deserves it. Plain and simple.
Okay, that’s enough of my Mommy moment. (but seriously…she IS awesome!). I am starting to get things nice and organized around this house and it is a good feeling. The kitchen is clean and I think I am going to move on to the office tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Today was so much fun! Audree and I went to get fitted for our dresses for Mandy’s wedding. We had a great lunch at La Parilla and then headed up to Bridals by Lori in Atlanta. Audree and Kinsey were so cute trying on dresses and becoming best friends :) They loved measuring each other and playing in front of the mirrors. They are going to (try to) steal the show at the wedding, for sure!
After getting home, Audree and I cleaned up the house and made it a little further into the laundry situation. She has been playing with her new guitar toy non stop and I already know the songs by heart. Too bad that thing is going to “lose” its batteries in the next couple of days…really such a shame.
Can I just say that making plans for the holidays will always be stressful for me? It doesn’t matter how often I try to plan ahead and please everyone, it never works out to where I can make everyone, including myself, happy. I told Alex that I should follow the example of literally EVERY SINGLE one of my close friends (Mandy, Terri, Tara, LAH, etc.) and move out of the county. It is just too stressful.
I am ready for January 10th! I’m going to be taking Kelsey’s ZUMBA class twice a week and I cannot wait! I’ll be going on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then running on the other days with my weekends off. It is finally hitting home that I need to quit SAYING I am going to fix things and not following through with it. I’m done!
I would have to say that my first day of vacation has been very successful and I am so thankful for still having two weeks to go!
